EP272: Personal Report: Finding Balance and Focus with the Report Method

Personal Report: Finding Balance and Focus with the Report Method

Share:

This month, we’re taking a slightly different approach and focusing on the concept of a “reset.” It’s already July, and for many of you, the year might not be going exactly as planned. Maybe you haven’t gotten around to starting your freelance writing business, or perhaps life with kids and summer activities has thrown your workflow off track. Whatever the reason, this is a great time to re-evaluate and make adjustments.

This month’s solo episodes will be all about things I’m doing right now to reset my own life, both personally and professionally. We’ll cover the personal report framework – a popular productivity method – to identify areas for improvement.

My Personal Report Framework

Reading

Don’t forget to check out “Darling Girls” by Sally Hepworth. (These are not part of my book club selections.)

Eating

I’ve been making cottage cheese protein bagels weekly; you can find the recipe on skinnytaste.com. I’ve also been preparing high-protein overnight oats regularly for breakfast, which includes oats, chia seeds, protein, and fruit. I started making these after finding out about my high cholesterol in January.

Playing

I’ve been into adult gymnastics for almost a year now, and I’m amazed at what my body can accomplish in my 40th year of life. I’ve also been swimming a lot in our pool recently.

Recommending

Although I generally save money, I recently got the Capital One Venture X credit card for my new PRN job’s travel expenses.

Obsessing

I’m very excited about my upcoming trip to my best friend’s wedding, especially because it’s our first cruise as a family.

Treating

Personally, I am treating myself to a new AirTrack to practice my gymnastics outside. I got mine on Facebook Marketplace along with a new pull-up bar, but I will link to them, on Amazon:
