Everyone wants the magic pill. The magic pill that tells us how to start a successful business without doing the work, or even when you’re working full time.
Let me tell you, people, it’s not how it works.
Starting a business starts with you making a plan.
Today’s episode starts with the plan before you even land a client.
Before you launch, you have to have a plan. You need to discuss with yourself – What am I going to do? Am I starting with clients? Am I starting a blog? What do I want to do? What do I want to make out of this? Is this something to take you to the next level in your home business? Are you trying to do this while working full time? Is it just for fun? Maybe you just want to be a blogger.
You need to have samples. You have to have a niche or something you want to be known for. For example, my niche is nursing, women’s health, and other things related to these areas. My other niche is helping you guys. You have to be known so that others will believe and take you seriously.
Remember that there is an algorithm for all of the social media platforms. If you’re going to choose to get one, you have to learn the algorithm behind it to be successful in it.
You have to know your niche. Find out where you specialize, know where you glow, and your superpower.
If you’re starting to know your industry and where you’re an expert, get on a Facebook group.
You do not need a website to make yourself profitable. I would not invest in that right now especially when you launch, because you don’t have to. If you need a portfolio assistant, you can go at contently (https://contently.com/). It’s easy to use and time-saving, so you don’t have to worry if you have less time remaining in a day because you’re working full time.
Start thinking of your business as your business, not as your side job or your hobby. This is a business and you are growing it. You have to be in a mindset of growing a business to be able to grow a business.
Every day you get up you are making business goals and business things to do because you’re growing a business. You have to have a mindset that you’re ready to launch and you’ll put yourself out there
Find a person that will support you. It could be a friend or a family. Find somebody that gets you and it will help you along the way.
If you find the time then you will use the time. You have to make time.
Set your alarm twenty minutes earlier, get up, and have a cup of coffee. From there, think of what you are going to do with your business. Think about it carefully and strategically.
Get up and do something for your business. You do have the time even when you are working full time. You have to start taking charge of your time.
Your efforts will pay off in the end!!!
