Welcome to the Savvy Scribe Podcast! In this episode, we will see how to put together a Content Strategy for 2020! My degree is in nursing which is very different from the business world. I had a hard time understanding the technical side when I’m just starting. But nowadays, I figured it out and realize that many entrepreneurs struggle with this. So, whether you are just starting with your content strategy or you have been using the same approach for a while, it never hurts to revisit your content strategy plan to make sure it’s up-to-date, innovative, and strong. And hopefully, this podcast will give you some action to take forward to 2020 and years to come!

Content Strategy and Marketing are two complex words for a very simple process. The process starts with finding an audience and writing about their needs. The first part of the content strategy is Funnel Analyzer. Many have been talking about the funnel as the marketing or sales funnel. You need to make the journey for your potential customers to be simple and avoid confusion.

How to put together a Content strategy for 2020

First, find out who your audience is and where you are going to take them. But if you have a broad audience, it’s gonna be hard to map this out simply. It sounds straightforward, but as you know, it’s not that easy to be known, to be found, and reel in customers. Blog posts and social media are great ways of starting your lead generation. And you also have to nurture your customers, give value to them, and offer them a little teaser for them to know, like, and trust you! From there, you’ll want them to take action.

You know your business, and you know which audience you want. Look at the content needs of your audience. There are many ways to create content: written, visual, downloadable, and displayed, you name it. You can easily take one blog post and repurpose it for many content upgrades. All of these are an option in your marketing plan that continuously demonstrates who you are and the expertise you bring to your industry. You might have heard how important content creation is to the growth of your business, but as you will see throughout this podcast, it needs to have a well-planned purpose for your content.

Effective Content Strategy for 2020

What forms will your content take? Infographics? Videos? Blog posts? Having identified the topics you want to take a position on, you will need to determine which formats to budget for so you can best express that position. Today’s content strategies prevent clutter by managing content from a topic standpoint. When planning a content calendar around topics, you can easily visualize your company’s message and assert yourself as an authority in your market over time.

To develop a successful content strategy for 2020, you need to clearly define your content’s target audience, also knowns as a buyer persona.
